LETTER FROM THE OWNER
Hi! I’m Rebecca Iovan, a digital imaging specialist with over twenty-five years of professional experience.
During my sophomore year at the Rochester Institute of Technology, I fell in love. I took Introduction to Digital Photography, where I encountered Photoshop—probably version 2.5 at that time—and immediately preferred it to shooting. I found I could fix the things I was unhappy with as a photographer; I could make the shot actually look like what I saw in my head.
My career took off when I secured a position at Town and Country Magazine as the staff Digital Imaging Specialist. I spent the next 20 years at Hearst Magazines honing my skills.
What I learned in that time was the importance of the cycle of feedback between myself and the client. It didn’t matter if I was working on Delish, House Beautiful, Elle, or Esquire—success meant understanding my work as inherently collaborative. Achieving a client’s vision for a project involves working hand in hand with them so that their feedback is folded into each edit.
I founded Finch Fight Studio in 2008 with a simple goal: bring that level of careful, personalized service to every single project. I have collaborated with clients on large-scale commercial campaigns and small passion projects. I liaise with a variety of vetted professionals to meet the needs of specialized projects, but my promise to my clients is that you will always get me: on each phone call, each email, and on each round of an image.
